Seeds Of The Kingdom

“This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.” - Mark 4:26-27

The kingdom of God grows through small, faithful actions that seem insignificant but ultimately transform the world. Every call to a representative, every vote for justice-oriented policies, every conversation about economic inequality plants seeds of the kingdom.

We may not see immediate results from our advocacy for student debt forgiveness, universal healthcare, or living wages. But these efforts plant seeds that grow in ways we cannot always track or understand. God uses our faithful engagement to bring about systemic transformation.

The parable reminds us that we’re responsible for planting seeds, not controlling the harvest. Our job is to advocate faithfully for economic justice, trusting that God will use our efforts to bring about His kingdom purposes.

Small acts of advocacy, when multiplied across many people and sustained over time, can transform entire economic systems.

God of growth, help me plant seeds of justice faithfully, trusting You to bring the harvest in Your time and way. Amen.
